Volvo Penta Center

for professional shipping & the industry

Volvo Penta operates worldwide as a supplier of engines and complete power systems for shipping and industrial applications. The industrial engines are suitable for static, off-road purposes and the generation of electricity. The shipping engines for propulsion combined with generator sets together form a complete installation. As Volvo Penta Center, Terlouw supports its clients in the purchase of engines, from the design stage up to installation and the after-market service.

Industrial engines

Terlouw has been appointed by Volvo Penta AB as a center for sales service and repairs of Volvo Penta industrial engines. This range of engines is used in various rolling and stationary equipment. This includes generator sets and pumps, as well as terrain tractors and forklifts. With our years of experience at the heart of industrial Europe, it went without saying that Terlouw would take on the role of Center. The range of industrial engines can be divided into engines for generator use and engines for various driver applications. The capacity of the industrial engines run between 129 and 495 kW. Modern SCR systems ensure that these engines comply with the strict EPA Tier 4i norm for emission of harmful substances (EU Stage 3B). Volvo Penta industrial engines are built to meet the specifications of the client using a modular system; ready-to-use power packs are available for various models. Download the industrial engine range brochure here: Industrial engine range Download the GE brochure here: GE-brochure Download the VE brochure here: VE-brochure

Commercial engines

The range of commercial engines from Volvo Penta run from 89 to 551 kW. Given the current trend of “downsizing” and combining multiple smaller motors for the propulsion of ships, Volvo Penta is the ideal partner. Fuel is the biggest expense for the commercial shipping operator. Fuel conservation is therefore the way to save money in today’s market. For years, Volvo Penta engines have been the most conservative engines in their class. The engines are all CCNR II-certified and available in the most common class requirements, with the option for the associated class certificate. For shipping, these engines are available with the IMO MARPOL certificate. The fully certified generator sets are available from 107 kVA to 596 kVA. Available with voltage controllers for the most common voltages at frequencies of 50 or 60 Hz.   Download the marine engines range brochure here: marine product range Download the general MC brochure here: MC brochure Download the Genset brochure here: Heavy duty Genset
